The date is set.

We sent the evites and everything!
It's March 1st at 1:00 pm, and we all better be there!

Now it's time to finalize the menu, think about favors (maybe flowers or cookies), and decorations (balloons, baby..). Mom and I commented on the previous post with our picks for food. What do we all think?

Evites first.

We need emails, Michelle. And what theme should we go with, invitations-wise?

http://www.evite.com/app/invitations/gallery/templates.do?theme=Baby_Shower

For the party itself, it is called hello, baby! shower and we were thinking mint green and pale yellow for the colors. Do you like polka dots or stripes? Or bumblebees or sailboats? We definitely want nice & cute floral arrangements, as well as balloons and lights strewn across the living room ceiling. As well as the traditional baby shower games... Too much? I think it'd be way adorable. And to play Father of the Bride 2 in the background. Oh, and MEN BE THE BABYSITTERS!

An update

Okay, so...

Jan and Michelle are not renewing their vows just yet. Instead, they are having a THIRD boy! To celebrate this unexpected blessing, let's throw a delightful baby shower. We are shooting for the end of February, possibly Saturday the 28th or the first of March. What does everybody think? Can we plan something spectacular and well put-together in a month's time? Ohhhh yeah.

I DO!

Wow, both Jan and I really looove the place! If you guys can lock down the date, I think this one is a keeper!!! I also checked out the menu and everything sounds very original and yummy. Mom, please find out the availability and rates pronto...we're excited!

some pics and videos

Hi lovebirds!

Here are some videos and pictures of Ondine and the Waterfront Hotel, so you can visualize them almost as clearly as we have. It's as if you guys were there! So take a gander and let us know what you think. Also, please pardon my gross nasally voice in the videos.

ONDINE:

The entire room

The ladies' bathroom

The bar (with Liz)

WATERFRONT HOTEL:

The Spinnaker Room

A view from the outside

There you go! We unanimously favor one of them more than the other. Can you guess which it is?? (Ondine!!!)

more places for chelley

http://www.ondinesausalito.com/index.html

Really cool place where you can eat a custom menu while looking at the SF skyline from Sausalito. Sound good?

a findy find

Ooooh...I just found another good site: http://www.herecomestheguide.com/, a complete resource for California weddings. I haven't checked out any of the places yet, but it looks exciting! Let me know if you find anything good, but I'm sure I'll be letting you know first! Looks like I'm not getting any sleep tonight...=)

possible venues

Check out this site: http://www.weddingsitesandservices.com/StartPage.cfm it was pretty helpful and easy to navigate. You can search for wedding venues by region and get helpful info like the venue capacity, sample menus and prices, and direct links to the venue website. Ones you might want to check out are: Corinthian Yacht Club - Tiburon, Cornerstone Gardens - Sonoma, Hiddenbrook Golf Club - Vallejo, Little River Inn - Mendicino, MacArthur Place - Sonoma, Ondine - Sausalito, The Spinnaker - Sausalito, Faultine Brewing Co. - Sunnyvale, Freedom Hall Gardens - Santa Clara. And check out one more that is worth looking into: http://www.herecomestheguide.com/location/detail/brazilian-room So let me know what you think...I think there are definitely possibilities with the sites listed. Oh, and I do wish you would check out the Waterfront in Oakland still...something about being right next the the harbor overlooking the SF skyline sounds romantic, don't you think? And another note, you can cross off the winery ideas. Jan and I figured it wouldn't be the best option for an evening wedding in Feb. Plus it's too pricey, too far, too complicated, etc.

Well that's all my input for now...you ladies better get crackin'!
